Lots of you expressed an interest in practicing your cross stitching at home. Here are the links we used at school:

Mrs C We really enjoyed Science Week this year and ended it by making a non-newtonian liquid called 'Gloop'. We made the gloop by mixing together water, cornflour and a drop of food colouring. To our amazement, the liquid acted like a solid when we applied force to it. We had great fun making a mess and carrying out different tests on it. At the end, we poured all of the gloop into a ziploc bag and added an unbroken egg. We then dropped the egg from varying heights and were impressed by how long it took the egg to break. We have greatly enjoyed the Writer in Residence Programme over the last few months and are sad that it is now coming to an end. We have learned so much from Shane Hegarty, author of the Dartmouth series, and are really excited to see the movie when it is released next year.
